R&T 13.2 in MR Touring
I read a lot about the '08 MR having terrible 1/4 mile times, i tried searching and i saw no one has spoke about this yet. I was reading the new article in Road & Track with their Ford Taurus SHO vs. MR Touring. With the SST tweaks Mitsu made for 2010 they managed 13.2 in the 1/4 mile, their '08 run was 13.7. Very nice improvement IMO. I hope this wasn't a repost and is good info for you guys.
Here is the comparison sheet:

and pushing 104 mph trap speed...hmmm sounds like a ringer or maybe a secret new tune that makes 330hp stock now. Wasn't the last MR clocking like 99 mph or so?

^ yes thats true. the problem is when i purchased my car the MR touring was going for 10k+ more. not really worth it, for me. especially since my 08 was at 0%.

How interesting... has anyone examined and compared the ECU maps from each car? Are the stock tunes really different?

2010 MR's have revised TC-SST tuning that eliminates the annoying lag off the line that is present in 08's.

Now the question is... can you flash an 08 with the 10 sst ecu setting. I do not think there will be any problems doing it.

This is the same thing i have been wondering as well. If so it will restore faith in some of us who are disappointed in the MR. 1/2 sec drop is very impressive.
