GSR vs MR Steering Wheel

Was there a reason mitsu only put the AWC button on the GSR steering wheel and not the mr? Seems like a strange change to make between two models as I can't see any performance reason for it.

Isn't it more convenient to get to on the steering wheel than in the center if you are switching between two conditions on the fly?

As far as I'm aware if the car has Navigation/Blue Tooth then the AWC button is relocated to the center console because the steering wheel radio controls are required for that package.

The MR has the audio controls on the left side of the steering wheel where the AWC switch is on the GSR. I believe the 2010 models might all have the AWC switch on the center console, I'm not 100%.

In my opinion, you don't switch modes often enough for the switch to be located on the steering wheel. It becomes a nuisance when you accidentally hit the switch while turning the wheel, etc.

More info on the differences between the two models here: Comprehensive list of differences between GSR and MR

Agreed, I forgot that I would be driving off the road onto snow and from snow to gravel and need to switch it that often. Although a rally driver might find this useful on mixed tracks (dirt-pavement)

IF and when you install the bluetooth and volume control, you'd also feel the same that the AWC is better off in the center console.

Not to spoil the emotional connection between the two (lol!), but Rally only just started being aired by HDT at the beginning of Oct.!

I have done this one or twice, but I feel that it is in a good location. They also could of put it in the dash like on the older models.
