Should be fun to watch, but no way does the X come close. That Caddy is just too much car.

the evo will lose...it lost to a cobalt on the track...Mr's are garbage and cost too much to modify.

If Mitsubishi actually backed the MR, there's no doubt they would destroy anything GM threw at them! However, Mitsubishi isn't backing the MR and years of rally experience won't even be a factor! Do I believe the EVO can win, sure! David beat Goliath, however there's way too many factors for me to decided which vehicle will win, I'm going to stay optimistic here and hope the X MR comes out the victor.

DUDE, GM had their best driver in the cobalt, stock for stock "two average Joes" the MR would spank the Cobalt! They need to use the GSR here, not the MR! An FQ would shut GM up!

lol @ all the caddy guys getting their panties in a bunch.. "the mitsu is just an econobox! fast and furious for import guys who call it an evo because it sounds soo much cooler than a lancer, etc."
im not going to lie, evo will get owned. bringing a knife to a gun fight imo. they are in two completely different classes and obviously put on a course to better suit a "fast" car rather than a "quick" car. i took one look at that track and said yeah right, evo has no chance. their most intense turn is a non-hairpin 90* turn... not saying the evo would win with more turns, but it would be a more interesting race imo.
beastly power of the V, turning ability of the evo. i see the end of this race being a huge loss for the evo.. those straights will make him look stupid against the V.

Why do these comparos always invite the MR? (because it is the slower model)- but like I said, the stock tune really puts the evo x at a disadvantage considering a 265 hp deficit stock to stock.

They invited the MR because in every track comparison between the GSR and MR, the MR is faster.
Car and driver and Motor trend both did comparisons and both had the MR as faster around a track. Google it.
With the SST shifting faster than a human can, plus Bilstein shocks, Eibach springs, and two piece front rotors for less unsprung weight, it just handles better and shifts faster on a track.
Go Mitsubishi!
Good luck against the CTS-V! Make a good showing!

Total BS comparison. Evo is much cheaper and down over 250HP and TQ. The caddy is also going to be tuned to perfection and driven by a professional on a track with long straights. Let's see that caddy race a 550HP Evo, or hell even a stock FQ400.

lol don't take it personally - it's not a comparison, it's race. well who knows how much of a race. it's a challenge to stock sedans. though, i don't know why the evo owner is even bothering except for a free(?) track day. i'm sure it'll actually be quite fun. This is a loaded race though, and i don't know how well experienced the drivers of the other cars are. if they were all same driver, i may side with the m3 sedan.. if heinricy is driving the v, probably not
