Evo X rattle...

Hey guys,

Sorry if this has been posted already but I couldn't find an answer. I just recently purchased my 2008 Evo GSR and it has the Rockford and Frostgate sound system. I was wondering if anyone else had issues with the plastic panel behind the rear seats rattling pretty bad, even when the sub levels are turned down? If so, has anyone found a fix for it without having to get dynomat or anything like that?

thanks

Normal, I will be taking out my rear seats and rear shelf trim panel and adding some door insulation/seal around the perimeter of the trim. As well as adding something to dampen the panel from vibrating.

Get some foam padding and fold it if necessary, open trunk and push up into the holes you see on either side of where the trunk light is, make sure its wedged enough to push the plastic cover up a tad, did this and it fixed mine, took but 5 minutes.

I wish I could get rid of the rattle inside my dash and drivers side door. When it's cold out it feels like pieces of my evo are falling apart. It's only 1 year old dammit.

But whatever, when my Invidia N1 comes I won't care about any of it because I won't hear it.

Yeah...I just started getting dash rattle. It's coming from under the trim pieces. I'm wondering whether it was my own fault though for not screwing everything in tight when I took apart everything.

This might help with the driver's side door rattle: TSB-09-42A-004 Rattle from Doors. Loose Window Bolts - 08-09 Lancer, EVO X, SPORTBACK
