I remember when the RX-7, Supra and 300ZX got fat and pricey and then went the way of the do-do. IMO, the same started when the IX became X. Time will tell.

I don't think the supra is a good example, it was always very difficult to get in the states. The evo is a lot more popular imo. And I don't thinkt he RX-7 ever had a huge following, just a few fan boys.

What's the big fuss about the pricing? Mitsu can pretty much dictate the price of the Evo anyway they want. If you can't afford it, then don't buy it... if you think the competition is better for the price point, then buy the other car. Pricing (MSRP) is always based on manufacturer's cost not just with materials/parts/labor... but also operational/R&D/marketing/etc. Real world pricing/deals are also dictated by supply/demand/haggling skills.
Seriously, do people complain just about everything nowadays? Crazy world we live in.

Of course people are complain about the prices these days..........look at the way the economy is. People are going to be more tight with their money and I turly doubt that the MR Touring will be a hot seller. Of course unless Mitsubishi lower the price on the MR Touring.

when the 300zxtt and supra were new, the msrp was $40k. that was in the nineties. the evo is still more bang for the buck at this price. if i could afford a new one i would get it. i dont understand why people are complaining about a new car being so expensive. back in the day, i wouldn't even consider a car unless it was 10 years or older. when i was old enough to buy a $30k car, i bought one. nowadays anyone young wants a damn 50k car while going to school. in a few years, these cars will be cheap enough for the majority of us to buy. just gotta be paitient unless you're rich.

All that money for the MR Touring, and it still doesn't come with an auto-dimming rear view mirror.
I wonder if some of those parts on the 2010 MR Touring can be purchased separately...and can be installed on a 2008 GSR. It be nice to have heated side mirrors.

ams, ssp, shep and t.r.e. need to develop aftermarket dual clutch packs for the mr already. At this point the mr's are useless. They can't even shift after a few laps and can't even hold any added power.

it is still one of the cheapest place to buy an Evo is the US.
And not even a biggest market
Think about that.
