I thought uk pronounces it "ee-volution" compared to US saying "eh-volution".
I guess it reverses for the shortened evo?

Some of the UK say Ee-vo but personally I say Eh-vo, same as how I pronounce Evolution, the Ee just sounds weird to me. I also hear some Japanese say Eh-vo but I've never heard any say Ee-vo.

people from different locations speak different dialects, often pronouncing words differently from region to region. news at 11.

I've met a few people here in the states that pronounce it the second way.

But really, saying it (evo)lution makes you sound british in a way
Saying it EE-VO sounds more correct in the english (USA accent) language.

US version. I hear those tools on top gear pronounce it eh-vo and it just bothers me. This is America damn it. The also call a hood a bonnet. Dorks.

I first learned of the evo from initial d freshman year of high school, so i've been calling it eh-vo since then.... i used to call it lan-evo back then and only the guys that watched initial D knew what i was talking about.
