Took off intercooler plastic covers: Opinions?

I think it looks badass.

The plastics are there to improve cooling and aerodynamics... just FYI.

oh yeah? However, you took a step back by taking off engineered parts that actually function.

You know how a ricer adds parts to make their car go "fast"? Well, I think it's the opposite on an Evo...a ricer pulls off functional parts to make it go slower. lol

lol, yes i am aware that they slightly divert air into the oil intercooler and brakes. you guys act as if my car is going to fall apart or suddenly stop performing because i took off two little pieces of plastic that diverted minimal amounts of air to parts that do not solely depend on them. and the question i asked was if you liked the way it looked or not. not a bashing about screwing up with the original design when we all "screw up" the original design with any mod we put on the car. so try to stay on topic next time. thanks.

i think it looks great, and its probably not going to make any difference unless u need every .001% performance possible on a track all day at high speeds and high temperatures

btw, how did u remove them and do u have anymore pics?

thanks, and it took about 15 mins, very easy. you just remove the front end and unscrew 2 screws on each of the 2 plastic deflectors. i cant take more pics now cause its raining over here but by the weekend i might do a diy.

It just shows off the intercooler endtanks some more. I actually like the fact that they are functional and wouldn't remove them personally. To each his own...

It looks good cause you can see the pipes BUT, it'd look better with an upgraded front mount, otherwise I'd leave them where they were IMO; I actually look how they like which brings me to my next question:

in case you're not planning on putting them back on? can I get those from you?
just let me know how much! (I'll see if i can smuggle 'em in my RA's front grille)
