I'd love for that little monitor to display individual tire pressures like my 06 Honda Odyssey does. That would be really handy during autocross.

Sure, most of these are in slightly different categories as the Mitsu, but they're still all performance cars. Mitsu really needs to to catch up to the rest of the industry as far as power goes.
I'll be happy with the output of the FQ-330. Nothing too crazy.

^ what he said!
why the **** do we stick with the 291hp one when UK's got 300, 320, 360... damn, even a 400 ont its way... We, the Black Ca right Mitsu? lol

I don't understand. A simple reflash and the EVO will make power that will cost thousands of dollars to extract from the 370Z.

^^Then you won't have a warranty...not that you do really anyways.
Jebus I wish they would have added some type of 6sp. The only reason holding me from getting the X is I hate the transmission. Way too short geared for what I use the car for and cruising down the highway at 3500rpm isn't my thing. Put a worthy 6sp in it and I'd have one in driveway asap! I guess I would settle for an MR that could handle 400hp though...thats wishful thinking I suspect though

Okay, lets think about this for a moment. I was just checking the EvoX Tuning threads and picked out a bone-stock EvoX tuned by DG Motors awhile back:
Stock Evo X GSR +79whp! DG Tuned.
So, lets do a little math here to get a better picture of a bone stock EvoX after a professional tune:
Fact: Factory EvoX crank HP rating = 291HP
Before Tune = 215WHP
HP calculation = 291/215 = 1.3535 multiplier
After Tune = 293WHP (using 93 octane)
HP calculation = 293 x 1.3535 = 396HP
If it was tuned with 91 octane, we would typically see a minimum of 280whp:
HP calculation = 280 x 1.3535 = 379HP
By these numbers, you could see almost 90HP (91 oct tune) gain on the crank by just having it tuned.
Not bad for a $300 - $400 investment, and still bone stock. Warranty won't be an issue as long as you keep a backup image of your factory ECU on a memory stick or something. You can just have the tuner flash it back if you need warranty work done before having the dealer work on it. I'm not sure how accurate my math here is... but the X appears to have much more potential given what it is equipped with from the factory. Thoughts?

To compare, I was looking at a 370z stock dyno, turns out it has around 258whp (332HP).

To me, just by HP numbers... EvoX > 370z (stock for stock)

Honestly if all you care about is HP, then you bought the wrong car. The evo is not all about HP. The evo has alot more to offer than most of the cars on that list when compared to the dollar value.

So if the Evolution came with 200HP, would you still have baught it?

Here's another thread where TTP tuned a bone stock Evo:
TTP breaks in an Evo X GSR on the dyno 347whp, bone stock!
I don't know how their dyno calculates whp vs. DG motor's dyno, but if you see the chart, TTP reported that after just a dealer reflash, the stock X was making 270whp (not even tuned yet). This is with the latest reflash straight from Mitsu to fix the idling issues, etc. which happened to also lean out the default A/F maps.
So based on that, 270whp x 1.3535 = 365HP (@ 93 octane?)
Let's say with 91 octane, conservatively... you should at least see 350HP (peak) with just the factory reflash. IMHO, the EvoX in its stock form w/ the latest ECU version is certainly no slouch!

ttp's dyno is highly over inflated your multiplier does not work on their dyno

^ Yeah, I also kinda thought of that since those numbers were a little higher than I expected. Not sure if GST & DG Motors were able to dyno the latest Mitsu reflash, but the numbers should be just shy of say something like 30whp compared to TTP?
Still, with the ECU unleashed to its full potential (without adding any hardware mods), the X does perform!

On a straight line & untuned, Yes.
But tuned & in the twisties (or even straight 0-60), what do you think?

I don't think some of you realize how capable a 370Z really is.
And btw. If you flash your ecu, you are NOT stock. Some of you also don't know what the meaning of "stock" is.
