I dont know.. their 2008 Evo X GSR was measured at 295.7 crank horse power, and it's advertise at 291, so that's about right compared to sticker numbers; remember these are crank horses they're measuring

They also have an '09 'Rex reading way over it's factory advertise numbers, around 280 horses;

crap I can't scan this thing now :S my scanner is acting up like always

Totally agree with you, if you have your heart set out on a specific color that's no longer available on a new 08, then of course you wait for the 2010s. My post is only directed to buyers who:

1.) can still get the color they want on available 08s or don't care what color they get
2.) frugal or cannot afford higher monthly payments
3.) just want to get the best possible deal

The 2010s are really nice, esp with those additional features like the color LCD display, sunroof, etc. But be prepared to pay a little bit of premium, if money is not an object, it is absolutely worth the wait. Just a couple more months anyway.

First MR that I have ever seen with better stock performance numbers than the GSR. Is it possible they tucked a different turbocharger into the MR?

I'm thinking Mitsu worked their ECU mapping and didn't change the advertise numbers to make sure 08 Evo owners don't get pissed!!!

At least to me, this is what I always thought the MR should've been: a more powerfull, not just fancy Evo.

Nice numbers on the MR... I agree with Jazket, they probably just tuned it better/leaner to extract 30+ crank HP over the GSR (which apparently has the same stock tune). Good job on the new MR Mitsu! But our tuners can easily extract 60whp on a stock X GSR (which aprox. translates around 80-90 crank HP)

I would like to see a bone stock 08 X dyno'd, then a 2010 X MR dyno'd immediately after. Otherwise, its not really valid. I know we're talking about bhp/crank numbers, i still think they should be compared back to back. About the 09 WRX; the numbers ANY car puts down on a dyno has everything to do with how the dyno reads, high or low, and what the correction factor is. Like i said before, that 280bhp WRX could dyno 260bhp on a lower reading dyno, but in reality its still putting down the same power on the street. So which dyno is "correct"? Neither...because dynos are just tuning tools.

To me it looks like they dyno'd the GSR and MR in 4th gear. The MR should have been dyno'd in 5th gear.

Thats because most cars 4th gear ratio is closest to 1.0:1, but the MR's 5th gear is closest to 1.0:1

Anyway i think i'm wrong now that I looked at the torque curve

A 6-second 0-60 time for the GSR? Seriously? And I'm also doubtful of the MSRP which shows the exact same numbers as from the '08 models.
