Really? My car has been surprisingly rattle free and at times I actually drive with the stereo volume low just to listen for rattles.

new MR is looking tasty for me. I've never been partial to the extra large spoiler (I prefer the more mild GSR ones)

Oh I can fix a glovebox rattle .
It's the internal dash, and roof rattles that will drive me up the wall.
Well here's to hoping they fixed the other rattles in the 2010. Obviously the more you mod the car the more rattles you can expect.

How? So far the only thing that has gotten rid of the noise is for me to leave the glovebox door open. I noticed that the clips themselves are made of plastic and move around a bit with a larger sized hole that they'll plug into....so that's why it rattles...too much play. I've been thinking of adding a tiny bit of ensolite to the holes so it'll hold in the clips more snugly...

I'd try some thin padded tape, I'd really have to see it. But I'm really creative when it comes to fixing noises. For instance on my sun roof. There are 2 hoses that go down the main pillars. As i drove the hoses would rub against the metal in the pillar. So I took the hoses, and wrapped them with threaded medical tape. Changed the friction to a soft thread, now can't hear a thing. Just need to find the friction point that causes the squeek or rattle and buff it up.

My car is rattle city. Admittedly, the ash tray rattle is mainly due to having an aftermarket exhaust which resonates and magnifies the problem.
I have:
-Glovebox rattle
-Ashtray rattle
-Driver side door or between front and rear doors rattle (This one is maddening. I can't figure out where it is coming from to fix it.)

I think if I got my Evo X, I'd just do intake stuff and tune, maybe intercooler piping. Everything else can stay factory as I wouldn't want rattle city
Good to know guys. Thanks.

You know you can always convert it to an RS.

I wonder how hard it will be to get a large wing instead of the rear lip with the touring package. I must have a sunroof (main thing that kept me from buying a 2008 X), but I don't know how I feel about the X being wingless.
