Hell yeah - get it!
What are the details? i.e. color, options, etc.?

I currently have a modified 08 GSR. I was at a local dealership today getting a few recalls done (fuel return, hood latch, awc flash) and I was talking to a salesman.
He told me they have two 08 MRs on the lot still and the owner wants them off the lot badly.
Now keep in mind these are Canadian cars and the MSRP is much higher then the US MSRP, what would be a good offer to make for a new 08 MR, considering they have 09 and 2010 Xs on the lot?

Talon, thanks for posting your question in here.
You should be able to get the MR for a substantial discount. What is the dealer currently asking? See where they start. I would say that you should aim to get at least $10k off MSRP.
Also, just make sure that you truly, truly want an MR over the GSR

No problem sir,
Currently they are offering $42k Cash (boo) and if financed 0% is available.
The owner of the dealership has lost a lot of money, and will continue to.
Im getting old and tired of shifting haha,

Wow 42 is a pretty good price. I think the mitsu dealership I bought my evo at is in the same situation. He has a couple 08 MRs sitting in the lot and trying to get rid of them for about 44-45k.

$42k isnt that great, considering they have 09/10 MRs on the lot, tucked away in the back because theyre pushing the 08MRs. Also consider once you take the car off the lot it'll take a MASSIVE hit in value.
Im trying to find the value of a used 08 MR, to compare.

Yeah I guess that's true. I was just comparing the price of an 08 MR last year when I was buying my GSR. The sales guy told me the MRs were going at about 53k, so 42k compared to that doesn't seem too bad at all.

^ That sounds about right. With no significant changes for '10, you should be able to get them at invoice. Although, I guess it depends on your area/dealer too. For example, there are no '10s within 100 miles of Atlanta (the closest is in Asheville, NC 150 miles away), so if a dealer here got one, they probably would be jerks about the price.
