EVO X Weight Breakdown

Here is a quick guide to weights and weight savings: (can we make this a sticky)

Stock Driveshaft 41.2 lbs
Front Doors (stock) 62 lbs
Rear Doors (stock) 48 lbs
Front Bumper 19lbs
Rear Bumper 32.5 lbs
Fog Lights & Bezels (both) 3.1 lbs
AC (condenser, compressor, lines) 21 lbs
HID Lights (each) 8.2 lbs
Non HID Lights (each) 6.2 lbs
Stock Radiator (with hose) 9 lbs
Stock radiator fans with shroud 10 lbs
Sub Box 16 lbs
Drivers Knee Air-bag 3.6 lbs
Trunk Carpet & Panels 9.3 lbs
Stock Hood 19.7 lbs
Stock trunk (bare, no wing or lights) 23.5 lbs
Stock High wing 13.4 lbs
Trunk Struts (both) .8 lbs
Battery Tray 2.5 lbs
Curtain air bags (both) 6.8 lbs
Headliner 4.8
Stock Steering wheel with air-bag 6.3 lbs
Rear Safety belts & accessories 11.7 lbs
Stock Roof 12.4 lbs
Sound deadening (in trunk and cabin floor) 9 lbs
Rear tow hooks (both of them) 13lbs

thanks, good info's.
You can add on some thing like the majority is willing to remove or swap?
I mean the stock front seats weight, or the stereo weight , speakers weight etc?

Speakers (All 4) - 6.2 lbs.
Deck and Sirius unit - 6.3 lbs.

Wow stock roof is really light, probably not worth replacing. The AC is also much lighter than Evo 9 AC, not much point to take it out at only 20lbs.

Rear bumper beam and tow hooks are crazy heavy, those things must go right away, lol. Spoiler is also pretty damm heavy, thats suprising.

you took of 20 lb /ac/ from the very front of the car. it is different effect then you would take out 20 lb under your driving seat.

Not yet.... but we do have a prototype Chromoly drive shaft that dropped 11.5 lbs!!!

I really wish the guys were not so busy with the SEMA stuff. There are lots of interesting stuff that needs to be posted!!

The weight of the speakers will depend on the system you have. Our white Evo had speakers that were about half the weight of our charcoal Evo.

IIRC, the passenger seat weighed 48 lbs. It is probably heavier than the drivers seat as the pass seat has the load gauges and computer on it.
