Without any data logging and telemetry, nobody can answer this question.

Which is a big deal if you think about it.

The S-AWC benefits will be even more vivid when you actually start shaving weight and gain WHP.

The S-AWC will not drive the car for you , but certainly will help. The true driver car is in my definition:
when you dont have to fight with the car, you can smoothly work with it.
The JDM X's not that heavy, you know that =]

I definitely agree about the average driver thing, yea. Car's not driving for you, but it's def getting closer I'd say. Like I said, I think Mitsu is on it's way to developing a "perfect" full performance traction control system

Again, there is no way to determine an answer to your question without more data and story. In the end I don't see how it's possible myself (speaking as a true racer). The STi is disadvantaged in every single area besides weight and power, but that usually doesn't make up a race... corners do.

The STi is also more powerful and weighs less. Understeer doesn't necessarily mean "slower through a turn."

Exactly - I'm just saying I find it odd that in just about every single test, the STI is actually very close to the Evo, despite all the new sawc and sayc and 4wd wizadry. Yes, we don't know WHERE it is helping without telemetry, but we do know that it IS (or should be) helping. Yet the STI is still honestly quite close in the laptimes -

It is more powerful, but not by much.. I thought the X was actually very similar in terms of acceleration, especially the lighter JDM one

Who knows? They're clearly well matched cars in terms of performance. I don't think there is much more you can draw out of this discussion.

yeah i know. Just like the counter cars.
Mainly because as i stated before the lack of US spec crash beam and the almost empty trunk. Like no spear tires or tools. that is alone almost 100 LB

Of course you can't make a conclusion without driving one first. But a little words of wisdom. Push the car. See what it can really do before you make any decisions. It will blow your mind.

It'll even blow you mind more after you have it tuned. The car really shines once you get that pig-rich factory tune fixed.

+1. Made my car 100 times better performance wise. It feels like my modded VIII did for power, with the handling of a X. Best of both worlds.

Id like to drive one but there are 0 FS near me. I have read alot of reviews and they all seem great. For around $25k I dont think I can get a better car. I am hoping to go to a dealership and drive the 1 2010 Evo X I found but I dont think they are going to let me.
