Drives: 2010 EVO X.....I dont need a wing!

Just installed TBE, Intake, FMIC, but......

I wont be able to get the car tuned for a few weeks.

I have read different opinions on whether or not it is SAFE to drive around after installing these mods.

Will I be ok for a couple of weeks until the tune? I plan on keeping it out of boost and babying it until then.

Just wondering anybody's experiences with this......

Thanks

MODS:

AMS CAI
B-Line motorsports TBE and FMIC

youd be fine without the tune... your ecu should compensate a little for it.

i would get it tuned asap to get the most out of the mods you put in.

A tune is always needed to get the most out of your mods.

But yes, you can drive around for a while without a tune. I wouldn't go full boost too many times though, as you have no idea if it's even safe or not unless you have a boost gauge and wideband.

I actually do have a boost guage and wideband installed. I plan on keeping a close eye on things until I hit the dyno

Yes it's safe to drive around without a tune. You don't have to tune a car for every damn mod you put on. That is like saying, I sneezed, should I wipe my ass again?
Yes you will probably get into an accident with that fugly gauge pod.

Does the gauge pod get in the way of point of view to drivers side nose? It looks to be intrusive to line of sight.

/Thread.
It's funny how the loudest and most opinionated person in this thread doesnt even own an evo! haha!!

and btw, you SHOULD tune for every engine mod you do, if youre looking to maximize safety and performance, but what I should do, was not my question. Please learn to read.

I was simply wondering if anyone (that actually has an evo) has any experience with the safety of these mods without a tune.

even 6'3" ( i'm 6') it would be disturbing (to me and only to me) to drive at night with those prosport gauges in front of my eyes, i have them and they are really bright
to ricy, unless you use your car for rally'it or drag'it

you will be fine without a tune

Hop in your POS DSM and take another swig of haterade!

Thanks for your pm ******.
Weather I own a dsm or not is not the point, fact is I know more than you. I tune myself. I don't need a whole forum of support for retarded questions. My gauge pod doesn't block my view.
I can afford something nicer than prosport guages.
If you want to pay someone to tune your car for every mod you do, then it's a big waste of money.

I hope you crash that ugly car into a wall from you dumb gauge pod and diaf.
