Its not like you're sitting there holding your shift know while your driving are you?
Even in the 110F+ weather I don't mind driving my car at all, I'm touching the shift knob for about a second between shifts...

Wow thanks for all the feedback everyone.
Hmm... that HKS one does look pretty good, I think it'd look pretty killer in black as well. And I was looking at the Ralliart knob as well, but I thought that was all metal as well. I was hoping to find a good weighted knob that's leather wrapped.
I guess here's another question I'll throw out, does a weighted knob make that much difference in regards to smoother shifts?

I checked out the blox knob - real nice. It sits a bit high on the stick, but it is well weighted.

Another vote for the Ralliart ones. They feel sooooooooooooooooooooooo good. I'm not gay, but that ralliart knob was making me think twice . I couldn't quit touching it while it was on my car. It just feels so rad. It's really weird. I had a greddy weighted knob before it, and it blistered my hand from the heat one day. That was it for me with the metal knobs. I loved that ralliart shift knob so much. The one thing I miss in my X vs my VIII.

Damn that Razo RA96 shift knob is freaking awesome! Hmm... the metal parts might get kinda hot/cold during winter/summers, but it looks so good!

I think I'm going the delrin route from ebay - just to give a cheapy a try. I've also been looking at that fortune Ti knob. I like the general coloring more than the ARC, and it is almost half off.
*edit - has anyone ever tried the raptor from momo?: link
