ETS Intake and UICP Review
After deciding on which intake and UICP pipes to go with over the last few weeks, I went with ETS since they had a good looking product for a nice price as well. Here are some pictures of my installation and of the product itself.
Out of the box:
Everything came nicely packaged from ETS, I first thought they might of shipped me the wrong thing at first since the image on the website shows 2 pieces connecting at the top, and these connect near the bottom. After comparing it to the stock one I figured they just changed the design.
Installation was pretty straight forward just swapping pipes and couplers, however there was one air line that did not go anywhere on the newer intake that I will ask Michael about.
Comparing against stock UICP:
Before & After Engine bay:
The install took me and a buddy little over 2 hours to knock out taking our time. The car feels great with it on and you can notice the power gain. The sound from the open filter is AMAZING in the car, it's so much more noticeable then stock. Overall I am very happy with this product and would recommend to others.

Great Review! Sent you a PM back.
The line that you are showing is the stock boost solenoid return line. You can let that vent to the atmosphere with no problems. Most people seem to go with an aftermarket boost controller and eliminate that solenoid all together. We offer an option on the site for $15.00 to add a bung for the stock solenoid, but if it was my car.. I would just let it vent
If you have any questions, let me know!
Thanks!
Michael

Cool, yeah mines just venting right now, I figured it was just another return line since there's like 4 going to it.
Thanks Michael.

Michael, I thought venting to the atmosphere was illegal and if caught, it could imply a heavy penalty. Am I wrong?

Almost all aftermarket parts are considered for off road use only. I highly doubt you will have any problems with a vacuum line unplugged. It's like speeding, your not suppose to do it, but everyone does it.

. But law enforcement in Northern Virginia sucks. I have been followed soooo many times for no reason whatsoever.
EDIT: well, coming to think of it, I do ride a car with a huge wing, so I guess that's reason enough right..... :

Are the two sections of the UICP made from two solid pipes bent into shape, or smaller sections of pipes welded together?
