Yeah, mine has come in quite handy already with this lean issue . I won't ever run without one with all of the variables I have now. FWIW, I'm at +6 ltft and still getting 13s at WOT. It's looking more and more like a mechanical fuel system issue.

Nope, larger one is semi-translucent white and the smaller one is black.

You can see in the UR kit photo I posted what they are from the factory.

It looks like that white line is something that Ultimate Racing includes in their kit.

You know Scott you bring up a good question, as this was the first pump I personally pulled on a Evo 10 (it was installed by the customer way back when)

Is the stock line a flexy hose like this?

From the factory both hoses are the same black flexy hose material. Someone should probably mention this to Ultimate Racing.

The UR in line-filter wasn't able to handle the pressure at 29psi of boost either as it swelled...

Any chance GST would be willing to package a kit with injectors, fuel pump and all needed accessories to go along with. Like filters and hoses. It is a pain trying to figure out all the small things I need as it seems to be changing.

And I guess I need a Wide band for my post tune driving. Anyone have any suggestions on where I can get a good wideband? And anyone have some alternatives to the UG racing filter kit? I am starting to think for the money it may be easier at this point just to pick up a turbo and wait for all the dust to settle around the E85 on the X.

It seems like HB Speed makes a similar setup to UR but the adapter sleeve that houses the Walbro is made from plastic instead of aluminum which reduces the costs. One of my concerns is the heat that builds up in the pump if it's isolated from the sloshing fuel that cools the OEM unit. The aluminum in the UR kit probably conducts the heat pretty well but I'm not sure how much the HB unit's plastic will insulate the pump.

I'm also unclear about whether there needs to be an additional in-line filter installed somewhere downstream. On the 8/9's I thought the only filter was the "sock" in the tank. I don't see any other filters on the car. Is it the same on the X?

Do the Walbros get hot if they are not sloshing around in fuel?

This whole fuel pump thing seems to be the only issue left to overcome for the E85 transition now that Deatschwerks has the 1000cc high impedence injectors available.

Come on GST, find us a solution for the pump/fuel lines!!!

We do have a "E85 kit" for the Evo 8/9 which includes everything needed. The only differences/additions with the 10 would be the pump sleeve / inline filter / small replacement hoses. Since we are getting this request more and more I think it's time for us to offer these as well...

Our Evo 8/9 kit includes a zeitronix wideband, it's the best one I have found to work every time with no fuss and has the warning box for people that do not want the LCD screen (or they can combo)

The stock pump is surrounded by plastic as well, afaik.

There does need to be an inline filter because the walboro pump upgrade does away with the whole inner assembly which is where the OEM filter was.

On the 8/9, the actual fuel filter is part of the plastic pump assembly and stays when the pump is upgraded.

The fuel sock is only to prevent the pump from sucking up anything.

I just built a custom double pump in a viii and the car has been running strait E85 for over a year, and had the same e85 sitting in the tank for about 4 months.

No visible damage to anything.
