Its called sarcasm... If you missed it, skyseer said an alluminum block plus 2.5L equals a EJ257, an STi Motor. Get it?

Our motors are square, which means the stroke ratio is 1:1. This makes for a super happy revv motor. Don't expect to rev so high with a stroker. But, sure, it will make gobbs of torque down low and in the midrange.

A stroker motor will make the evo more street friendly if one chooses to run a bigger turbo.
Everyone keeps talking about how Changing the displacement of the evo "Changes the evo from what it was intended for, it's supposed to be a high reving engine.....blah blah blah"
Well.......for all of you talking crap and running or planning on running upgraded turbos........guess what. it's the same thing. The evo was never meant to be a 500+ hp beast of a car. it was intended to be a ~300hp rally car. There's no difference if you're trying to make more power. it's just the route one takes to get there.
I am no exception, my evo was 620whp stroked beast of a car running a GT35r. But i never criticized anyone running different setups because it's "Not what the evo is intended for".......
If one wants to make more power with a bigger turbo and preserve street maners. Displacement is the only option. And it makes for a sick SICK street car.
Cheers

honestly...if you guys have a problem with a 2.5, why are you ok with a 2.3 that doesn't rev nearly as well(even though to my understanding there is 2.3 and 2.4 liter mitsu motors that are turbo as well right? obviously not 4g63 but aren't the eclipse 2.4?) and is usually not as good for gearing for certain types of racing
I think if a 2.5 4g63 could rev fast it would be killer...long rod 2.5 4g63 that sounds pretty nuts; I wonder what it would sound like eh?
it would be sick to see people spooling 35r's and their variants at 3500rpm, that's food for though...that would be a sick powerband in a 5 speed

How much do you guys think this will cost?
If I rebuild the engine and don't even upgrade the turbo what kind of power gains would I be looking at?

Got it. I didn't pick up the sarcasm because I don't know Subie engine codes...
