stock boost problems
Ok so I took off my AEM EBC today to return to stock boost because I was getting tired of throwing overboost codes everyother time I stomped on the gas! I would throw two sometimes three codes...p0135 or p0137 (can't remember) p1345 and p1870.
I hook all the vacuum lines up back the way they came and went on a test run only to find out that I am now only pushing 13psi!!! WTF!!
the only thing different that I did from stock is I did not put the boost pill back in the line, I didn't think that it was really needed! I reset my ECU and went on another run and still only 12-13psi!
My mods are as follows...
K&N cone filter
HKS exhaust and center pipe
ETS DP with o2 dump and ETS TP
If anyone has any suggesstions for me that would be great because this car is incredibly slow on 13psi of boost.
thanks guys!!!

Uh..... the boost pill is there for a reason. Changing the diameter by hundreths of an inch significantly changes how the system operates.

There are 3 pills on the EvoX boost control system. The main one that is in the vacuum line from the turbo outlet is there to restrict the amount of pressure that reaches the actuator. Removing this one will decrease your boost since more pressure will reach the actuator causing it to open.
The other 2 are before the boost control solenoids. Removing these will actually increase the boost since more pressure will be allowed to be relieved by the solenoids. The more pressure that is relieved, means the less pressure that will make it to the actuator which will increase the boost.

so if I install the pill between the turbo outlet to the actuator and leave the other two out and just keep an eye on the boost you think that I will be fine?

Put the main pill back in (from the turbo outlet) and leave the others (before the solenoids) in place. If you remove the pills in front of the solenoids, your boost will jump too high. If you want to remove those, you'll need to lower the WGDCs.

OK so I put the main pill back in (line off hot pipe) and left the others out (don't remember what I did with them, must have thrown them out) and now I can get up to about 18 psi but in the higher gears like 4th and 5th where there is more load! second and third only put out about 16-17psi. Also there are no boost spikes what-so-ever. It's not like I stomp it to the floor and the boost spikes at like 25-26 then tapers down to 20-21...not at all (this is how it was with the EBC), now the boost kinda slowly rises up and when it hits between 16-18psi it holds it there, which is good but still a little low! What is the next step I should take now?
