Buschur Bullet Vs. Quiet Muffler
Has anyone done a side by side comparison of these two exhausts like in the car and outside of the car. I have the buschur bullet exhaust now and i may want to switch to the buschur quiet exhaust, but im afraid it may be too quiet. Any input is greatly appreciated. Just want to know if anyone has heard both and what they think is better.

Is the buschur bullet to loud for you? I just ordered it and I can't wait to get it, what do you not like about it.

Its not really all that quiet...granted i do have a test pipe as well. Always remember that exhausts get louder and fill in the longer they are on your car as well.

honestly, its a sour subject for me. I LOVE this exhaust. Around town driving the car sounds great. My friends all love the sound (and so do i) but the problem is, and the only time i dont like it is when i have to deal with it on the highway. I have to make a commute to school which can take anywhere from an hour and a half to 2 and a half hours where i have to deal with it and that is the only time it really annoys me. So my thinking was that i wanted to try the quiet version and see how it was, however i want to hear it in person first to make sure its not too quiet as i really do like the way mine sounds 90 percent of the time. I hope that makes sense...And i wish i had known, and maybe you could have ordered the quiet version, and i would have paid you like 200 bucks or something if you would take my bullet one. Hope that explains my reasoning for this thread and if anyone has heard the quiet version in person let me know what you thought!

This thread is in reference to the Buschur exhaust for the evo X not the 8 or nine. No offense but the sound of an 8 is not important to me.

Right on Buschur's website page for the quiet exhaust they have a video of it
https://secure.buschurracing.com/cat...a0238ed2fec656
Sounds fairly quiet and smooth at part throttle, yet at wide open throttle there's still a good, aggressive sound to it. I like it.

Put your cat back on......Why a test pipe anyway, you running over 400 hp? You won't miss the 5 hp you will lose with the cat and it will be alot quieter. No wonder you don't like it. LOL

I think the Bullet has gotten quieter for me over the past few weeks it has been on actually, but it might be that i have just gotten used to it, but it's like it broke in or something, lol. Now that I got my AMS intake on, i dont even pay attention to the exhaust, well I do, but the intake is new so I listen to that. Bullet is a great loudness, could even be louder for my tastes, hence the reason I am going for the testpipe next.

I have to respectfully disagree.
The quiet muffler system is substantially more quiet than the Bullet. With the stock cat there is a big difference between the 2 systems especially with an off-road pipe added into it. The quiet is my recommendation for those wanting to keep the sound down.
Highway cruising speeds are much more pleasurable by my standards with the quiet option.
Here is the Quiet System w/ stock cat.

Here are some clips of the Bullet on a customers car:

If you have any other questions I will be glad to assist.

Thanks for the response. For the record i do not have a test pipe and i do still have the stock cat. As i said i love the exhaust too in every situation except for cruising on the highway which is a big commute for me. Jarrod how much would it be to get the quiet muffler for my car instead of the bullet one i have? Just the middle piece that is?

If you guys are worried about noise, i would stay away from the bullet model. Hence my video with BR bullet+Perrin DP/hifloCat pipe. The video was from a standstill he started recording as soon as i started moving. Video was off a cell phone so quality and sound isnt great but you get the point. Enjoy
