How and where are these breaking? Is it catastrophic, or just a leak or so?

They are basically splitting in two pieces.

We have a solution for this. It is a piece that goes on the stock master cylinder that will not allow it to split. I am actually writing up the instructions right now for it, as soon as pricing is figured out I will post back up. All I can say is it wont be expensive : )

Wow looks fairy involved install with removal of pedal assembly as well.

When does AMS expect the SS clutch line to be available as well?

I would like to perform both at the same time.

Its probably going to be atleast another month or so for the clutch line. We are having a ton made at once so we don't run out. I can say though I test fit one on our EVO X and it was a super nice piece!

you cant repair it you need to replace it....
is made out of plastic so when it breaks trash it...
buy a new one and one of those rings ams sells and you are done w/ that problem....

Ok guys, sorry to burst your bubbles.
I've been plaque by the master clutch cylinder problem the last few months.
My 2nd unit burst within 10 days after the 1st one broke. After the 3rd unit was installed, I baby the car until the AMS ring came & got it installed immediately. It was finally good until today that is (approx 1 month).
All of a sudden, my clutch pedal would not return after I depress to engage gear (exactly the same as when the master clutch broke) except that the cylinder did not break or leak. The brake fluid level is level is stable.
I had to tow my car to the workshop again (3rd time within the last few months for the same problem). Since this is Sunday, the mechanic are not working but initial diagnosis indicate an "internal leak".
I am really pissed. Sure the AMS ring prevented the cylinder from breaking but it is not the SOLUTION.
I am going to get my workshop modify a 9 cylinder to fit.
Those designer at Mitsu ought to be

Are you running a stock clutch? How many miles were on the car before the first master cylinder went?

I change out my stock clutch at 8000km due to slippage.
Clutch now is Cusco Stage 1.
1st time breakage approx 20000km.
