Found oil leak!
Hey guys,
I was bored and decided to pull a few plastic shrouds off the bottom of the car and just look around..
Well, I found a leak. It appears to be leaking at the oil feed line for the turbo off the block. I am not sure if the crush washer is bad or if the bolt is not torqued all the way.
I would torque it myself, however I want this documented and in case it's leaking higher up I want the dealer to look over the entire motor.
Less than 15k miles and the motor is leaking Mobile 1. Oil level check was ok..so it's a small annoying leak
Edit to list build/purchase date:
"shyong" Built November 2007...purchased in March 2008
"txfoster" Built September 2007

You aren't the first person to have this problem i believe...
I think the last person said that the dealership tightened everything up and the leak stopped.... Someone at mitsubishi isn't using the normal german torque spec (Goodn'tight)

Please let us know. I might just throw a wrench up there and try it out.

I had it when I went under the car for the first time-tightened it up by hand a 1/4 turn and all has been well. I'm paranoid about stuff like that (especially when I'm the one wrenching)-so I check on a pretty regular basis.
GL on the find!

Well $hit. So yours was or was not the oil feed line connection at the block?
If so, I might just tighten it and be done with it.
1/4 turn, thats a lot!!

was oil feed line, and at a 1/4 turn, she was pretty tight. I think it may be the crush washer that is preventing the neccessary tq to the bolt-mine has been fine back there since-I wont start to mention what will leak at 15k for most of us
lets just say you need to check on the drain plugs under the car.....all of them....more then once....back on topic
