So you are logging the car or is this "no hint of timing retard" by feel?

Does the AEM water injection have some kind of defeat mechanism to eliminate the boost cut?

I'm having trouble seeing how water injection alone defeats the boost cut. It would be interesting to hear a more in depth explanation.

This is way awesome but way balsy at the same time IMO. Without the tools in place to log the car properly people can get themselves in trouble.

I may just buy a X when software is available for me to log and tune myself. So I can keep tabs on everything going on, know what my maps look like, and adjust accordingly

Great work man

I think that you should buy a camera and mount it somewhere on the windshield looking at the hood, and have it running anytime that you drive this car. because with no tuning at all running that kinda of boost and water injection.......that engine is on borrowed time and when it goes...it is going to go in spectacular fashion and it would be damn cool to see it on video....

Go rent a movie if you want to see a motor blow in a spectacular fashion.....

In the real world, people try new things to improve the performance of their vehicle, and using water injection to cool the air charge is a smart thing to do. His car boost spikes to 32 P.S.I. and tapers off significantly throughout the rpm band, so don't get too excited by the amount of boost his running. I've been running 27 P.S.I. (spike) for WEEKS without any tuning or water injection and I have no issues with my car, PERIOD

I am not logging it, boost spikes to 32 psi and tapers down to 20psi by redline.

No timing retard, car pulls strong to redline wihout any hesitation or loss in power.

No fuel cut either. It pulls and feels like my old 370whp EVO VIII.

AEM does not have any mechanism to eliminate boost cut. It is ECU controlled.

Before Water Injection, I was boosting 26psi on all my mods and it doesn't initiate a fuel cut. Pulls strong to redline without any misfires or timing retard.

But when my car was stock and just a MBC upgrage we turned up the boost to 24psi and it immediately initiated a fuel cut.

With all the mods currenlty on the car, the fuel cut has dissapeared and the 23psi boost it was set went up 3 psi more becuase of less back pressure, and all the supporting mods that I have.

I'll post an update when I get the car tuned very soon. Hoping to break the 400whp mark on the stock turbo.

WOW, and you dont hit fuel cut or go into limp mode? I spiked 25 psi a few times and my car hit fuel cut and went into limp mode.

That could just be what his gauge is seeing. We need something to tune this car ourselves. I don't like this reflash by others crap.
