Arrow E85 conversion question/help

This is what I want.

E85 conversion kit that is pretty much drop in and includes 1000cc injectors.

Best brand for that as far as quality and price goes?

Thanks

Do you need a conversion kit or can you just change your fuel maps on your ECU? Your stoich AFR is going to change so it should be a matter of changing timing and AFR right?

I just got the Cobb AP and want to run e85 map on my car. I know I need a fuel pump and injectors, but was just looking for a kit that would basically drop in. Obviously the injectors will but the fuel pump, do you get what I mean?

Well as far as "drop in" don't think so. I'm guessing you want to do this yourself?

Yes sir. I have the skills to do it, just don't know if i want to. haha. If i can get it installed for fairly cheap by a local shop, i.e. cobb, then i'll probally do that.

Cool! I have one station in town. So it would be e85 on weekends and 91 or 93 during the week!

You could save a couple bucks installing the pump & filter on your own (I'd suggest the BlaqOPs kits). Then have Cobb install the injectors and do your custom tune.

Easier said than done. You cannot just switch fuel and map and be good to go WOT. It may take several tanks until the switch has been made.

E-85 summer and 91/93 winter is a good idea, but changing fuels every other day or so, does not seem like a good idea.

^^ Yeah unless you completely drain the gas tank, you are going to have mixing of the E85 and 91/93 OCT.

Best bet is to get rid of the AP and use reflash instead.

Evo X E85 Conversion How To & Discussion

Since you already have the AP, their OTS e85 maps seem to be pretty good, while keeping the tune safe... I'm planning on headed that direction, too, though I'd like to go with 1000cc injectors to give the vehicle a bit more headroom.

Please don't switch all the time, like people said it takes a few gas tanks to fully get rid of the 91/93.

This is why if people who convert to e85 go get retuned after a month make another 20whp, the system is then fully e85.

Personally I am an all or nothing, no switching all the time, once a year maybe, but personally if you go e85 you will never look back.
