Largest scaling limit for Evo X injectors?
Does anyone know if there is a scaling limit on the Evo X ECU for injector sizing.
We have tested and tuned our new 2400cc high impedance injectors last night however in our testing it seemed that over 1350 scale, further raising the injector size did not change the fueling it appears.
Once on ethanol we were in the 1000-1100 range without an issue.
We tried as high as 2350 to see if there was an impact but could not determine if there was a change in fueling.
Also the injector latencies seemed to have little effect on idle fueling. It might have something to do with the injector's size and spray pattern however.

Can the stock ECU even drive such large injectors to fully open. Might be time for a standalone AEM, Haltech, etc...
Because those are some gigantic injectors you are trying to run.

Not trying to run, have run already....
Car runs perfectly fine. Just looking for information so we know what range is capable in scaling.

Wait, the Z-chip doesn't compensate for 2400cc injectors? J/k.

We are sold out of ZChips for Evo X and our new model is used on 2010 Hyundai Genesis coupe.
Back on topic.

Monster injectors!
I don't have direct experience with pushing the injector size limits but likely 2400cc would need an injector scaling value around 1950 - 2000 cc plus or minus. It's very possible that past 1350 scaling the stock injector control system just wasn't setup for such large injectors. If 1350 is the limit then around 1650-1700 cc would be around the max injector size without resorting to other methods.
Other methods being:
Run a 3.5" or 4" MAF intake pipe which should slow the airflow read at the sensor considerably leaning it out. With a bigger turbo this can also relieve some restriction in the intake path.
You can also fine tune with the MAF compensation tables.
MAF Scaling Table in grams/second
Granted it's not a perfect way to do it but it should get you around the injector scaling limits if you are indeed exceeding them. You are definitely pushing the limits of what the stock ECU was setup for!

The car runs perfect. I just want to see if I can lean out the idle a tad.
