Speed density

Any progress or talk of speed density on the stock ecu yet? The MAF has become a pain in the arse now that my car is forged running high boost and aftermarket turbo.

Kind regards,
GUM

No. I think SD on the 8/9 is still in the experimental stage, so I wouldn't hold my breath. Stock ECU should be good for over 500whp (as it is on the 8/9), however I don't know how far along we are on modifying knock maps like people on 8/9s are. I imagine being built and getting phantom knock is your biggest hurdle right now? Maf scaling should be easy to handle. Alternatively, you could get a larger MAF housing and retune on that.

SD has more advantages than what you are thinking. I, too, hope that tephra or JB or whomever will help to transition the SD to an evo X as well. I would change to it as soon as it was released.

knock arrangement is 95% the same as 7/8/9

so if your getting phantom knock we can solve that.

Hello again,

Yes I have adjusted the knock sensitivity using ecutek, however have chewed up my second MAF and its becoming a pain in the ass. Also my tuner would like to run MAF less in an ideal world... so nothing is available in the states? I am using a HKS induction kit and am thinking maybe i need to go even bigger with the MAF housing???

Kind regards,
GUM
