Question LoJack insurance discounts, anyone?

Has anyone obtained an insurance discount because they have LoJack installed?

Has anyone got a discount in CO?

If so, please let me know what insurance agent you use. I use American Family, and whilst their rates are dirt cheap, they have zero discounts for LoJack. I still got it installed, though.

I got mobile guardian and my isurance doesn't offer a discount for having it but does waive any deductible in the event of theft. I guess something is better than nothing.

I was talking to an ex-cop friend about lojack & he said it was pointless. He said that the range is typically 3 miles & doesn't give an exact pin-point location, just the general direction the vehicle is located. So, if the car is dumped in the middle of nowhere, it will be extremely hard to locate. He said that a cheaper, better way (in his opinion) is to get one of those child tracking bracelets. He said they give actual coordinates & all you have to do is zip tie it somewhere in your car. Lojack is often located in similar areas & I'm sure the better criminals know where those are.

keep in mind different states have different coverage requirements. The same companies that give discounts in some states may give bigger or no discounts in other states. Also ask your agent what discounts they do offer. I found out after being a progressive customer for 8 years that they give me a discount for working in a casino in Las Vegas.

Yea mine offered a small discount but its hardly anything couple dollars a month maybe. But imo not worth it. If someone takes and guts my car out I don't want to find it or have to salvage it. I'd rather it just be gone for good and get a new one lol.
