In order to be safe to run this turbo on stock fuel system, how much max power should be tuned to?

Hey LVSBB6,
I'm looking to add an FP Green = 54 LB/MIN or a Dom 2.5 = 47 LB/MIN (Stock Turbo = 40 LB/MIN) to my basically stock Evo X MR DD and from what I've read it looks like 375WHP and under would be safe on the stock fuel system but that all depends on your tuner. Hopefully the FP Green will provide streetable boost characteristics compared to the stock turbo because I like that FP uses a stock turbo to start with so it has the Mitsu Part#'s etc and appears stock on the outside. If you look at 2Fst4U's Dyno Sheet it looks like the 50WHP gain was at 7,000RPM other than that the gain over the stock turbo was minimal. Below is some good information:
1. 2Fst4U's Dyno Sheet - http://forums.evolutionm.net/attachm...pgreendyno.jpg
2. Meat-EVO's Review of the FP Red and turbo upgrade in general makes me think twice http://www.**********.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20342.
3. Also if you look at ETS they claim to have made 422WHP on a STOCK Fuel System - http://www.extremeturbosystems.com/
"Today we had one of our local customers bring up their Evolution X with the ETS 35R Turbo Kit. The car made amazing power on the stock fuel system! We made 422whp at 19psi (Lower Then Stock!?) The car should easily make 450whp on pump gas. The spool is amazing... Full boost around 4500rpm!!"

^Thanks for the info 08MR. I`d take a fast spooling turbo with overall average gains over laggy turbo with just top end power any day, especially on a daily driver MR. The Green is probably the best streetable upgrade turbo option right now.
As 2Fst4U pointed out, his tune was rather conservative so I think with a bit more timing and boost, the gains will be even more impressive.
I also like the stock housing look of the Green. And sticking with stock fuel system you can always revert back to stock map if you ever need to go back for warranty purpose.

I agree 100%. I want to use the stock fuel system etc. so in case I have to go back for another "recall" I can just uinstall my Cobb AP and have it run on the stock MAP. Sounds like you're trying to do the same.

Was there any issue to tune with stock pump/bigger injectors combination? any sign of leaning out in the top range?

No issues to my knowledge when tuning and not having any atm. I had talked with another owner who ran stock pump and bigger injectors on a red with no issues also.

I`m tuned with 255 walboro with 800cc injectors, my IDC is at 80% at the top end.
