TTP's Twinscroll HTA35R Evo X uncorrected 1.00 MD on pump 93!



I think we have one of only two or three HTA86 twinscroll turbo kits in the USA for Evo X. One of our customers wanted the best of both worlds. Full boost at low RPM and big power on top. Insert the ETS 35R HTA86 Garrett T3 turbokit.




This Evo X was equipped with Kelford 214-A cams on stock springs and retainers, AGP intake, AGP FMIC, 800cc injectors, TTP electronic cutout testpipe, Megan Racing twin exit black stealth exhaust, ARP headstuds, TTP ECU controlled boost with Pierburg single solenoid. Dual MVS mini TIAL wastegates VTA.



The turbokit install like most work on the 4b11t was just loads of fun. Before long the turbo kit was installed and the car was fired up. Everything seemed to run just fine so we strapped it down and put it to work. The temperature outside was finally reasonable so we disabled weather correction so we could run at 1.00 uncorrected figures and really measure the raw gains over the FPRed.

With about 25-26psi on 93, full boost came on at about 4500rpms and peak power was still climbing at 7500rpms. Here is the graph:

This week we will be swapping out springs and retainers and the Kelford 214-B cams will be replacing the A units for more lift and duration now that we have a suitable turbo in the car for it. We will also be doing some 110oct testing at high boost at that time to try to set the 1.19% correction factor world record. J/K

Great Job Scott! This car is going to be a beast at the track and on the street. When you guys start pushing the car a bit more on the stock block, I would recommend ARP Rod Bolts to the customer, they are very easy to put in. This is what failed on our stock block. The HTA3586 pulls all the way to red line on our car and it revs to 9200rpm.

Do you guys plan on increasing the rev limiter with the new cams/springs/retainers?

Evo X is getting headstuds, ARP rod bolts, Kelford 214-B cams, Kelford springs and retainers, then onto 110 octane testing.
