just a question about your first graph, if I am reading it right your hitting 2X.XX boost which seems odd since stock boost is alot less then that, is your base line, stock mod wise w/ a tune/increased boost?

the baseline was the car bone stock with 600 miles on the car nothing done at all...
this is what the car boost stock, but seems correct, comes in at 23.5 psi and falls to liek 13 psi by redline

where did u get ur stock boost level info from?

Kind of off topic but,
How does your car start after it's been sitting for about 1-2 hours after a drive?

I thought the Evo X's stock bosot was 20 PSI?

I know the rule of thumb is 5 HP for every PSI, so your higher then normal base like, I thought was from extra boost. 24 PSI - 4 = 20 HP, 260 HP = 20 = 240, which is in the average for an evo of 220-240.

thanks....
thats why i listed the baseline...goal here is to show the before and after results (the gains over stock), not have a dyno chart shoot out with other tuners/shops

also this dyno in awd config reads almost the same as other local socal shops,

also if you want to compare it with another dynos just take out the difference in baseline numbers....

i.e. GST Motorsports dyno baselines an EvoX at approx. 22X hp; my Evo baselined at 259 here, so 259-220 = 39hp higher than a mustang...
If you want to do a rough comparison on another dyno you can guestimate my car is making 379 hp on GST's dyno... i went to their shop once to pick up boost pills, maybe next time im up there ill baseline on that dyno to see how much i actually put out againt my bench guess if they have time

i dont know what other people were getting but htis is what mine did...
with these small turbos there isnt a constant hp gain with boost, the more air u push the hotter it may get thus lowering the gain unless you hae adequate cooling

the power numbers may be higher/different than than others but the boost is spot on, same as logged

also see reply above

yep not all turbos give out same amount of flow/air...and not all turbos can breathe at high rpms..

anyways, very nice info for the comparisons...thanks! btw, i noticed that the boost between the 1st set mods and 2nd set of mods...i'm not sure what made your boost hold much longer but i like it...did you have your red wgspring changed? i mean i know the red can breathe better in high rpms compared to the stock turbo...just wondering and wanted to know..

i switched out the stock setup for a tactrix 3 port solenoid on all pulls showing higher boost
when i switched to the fpred the boost held better up top by itself
im still on the stock actuator (no springs have been changed) i verified this by doing pulls with the boost controller turned all the way down on the stock turbo and fpred and they made the same boost, approx 13-14 psi

with the new setup the boost is still falling a bit, i have more room for adjustment on the controller but decided to leave it that way for now...
things that will help the taper involuntarily will be hardpipes and a different acutator...these are probably next on my mod list after a preliminary race gas tune
