347 whp/337 wtq just bolt-ons

Took my car up to CBRD for a little tune yesterday. Started off the day with a Perrin drop in, Perrin FMIC, IC Pipes, UR TBE, and Access Port and Perrin Stage 3 map. We did a base run of 305 whp/301 wtq and then put the ETS intake on. Another base run 322 whp/312 wtq still with Perrin stage 3 map, then Chad started his magic. By the end of a long day (about 6:30) we were at 347 hp and 337 tq at 23.6 PSI on a mustang dyno. Thanks Chad for working the long hours to get this done even though you were trying to get your car track prepped for the weekend.

This thing is a beast. None of the bolt ons really impressed me before the tune. It has a wicked powerband now. No peaks, no drop off, just raw power. Now the car can break traction and is a complete blast to drive. I can't stop grinning

for me!

It was fun to watch. We'll see in a couple of weeks if you have a hp FREAK or if Chad has figured out some magic!

Very nice!

How was the weather for you? Humid and nice or cool?

Edit:

Is that on the stock boost control system???

Needless to say I have the evoDynamics solenoid (or MAC/AEM style) and my car does not seem to hold boost as well as your car does through the rpm range, even with the FORGE WGA. I think my Achilles heal is the POS boost control solenoid. Needless to say I will be upgrading to a Pierburg/Gruppe-S valve.

Weather was around 80 and dropping as we finally finished. Humidity wasn't terrible...just a little sticky. Humidity always seems high to me as the sun goes down cause it takes so long for the temp to drop on the east coast.

It is the stock boost control and stock WGA. I was thinking of getting the WGA and the boost control, since it is all the buzz on here...but after driving it home Wed night, I'm going to wait till it comes time to replace the turbo. Looking to do that around spring time.

I think the reason it held so well was because Chad turned down the boost. When he had it higher, I got a drop off in power up near redline. We could have probably pulled a bigger Tq or Hp number, but I wasn't after that. I want the powerband as broad as possible. I don't want it to fall on it's face (like it did when I got it) around 6000 rpm.

Sounds pretty impressive. I still can't get the car to break traction.

It is about 2 hours from Waldorf. Probably about the same for you. (495 to 695 to 83...maybe 120 miles) It is an easy drive. Drive up there sucked (cause I was anxious), but the drive back could have taken 6 hours and I would have been happy with it.
