My new Digital Designs build

I am a shop owner and I needed to have a new demo car. What better to use than my own 2008 Evolution X. I wanted it to sound good but not take up a lot of space and not weight to much.
So that being said here is what got installed:

Headunit: Pioneer AVH-P4100DVD (iPod video cable)
Front: DD-C6.5 Componants
Rear: DD-C6.5 Comps
Amps: DD C4b 4-channel
DD C3b 2-channel (sub)
Sub: DD1508 in DD prefab enclosure

Ok on to the install=

Heaunit with metra dash kit. I fitted my gauges in to the ac vent at the same time. Ran the iPod cable to the glove box.

A few pictures of new DD 6.5 compared to the old Powerbass stuff.

Old Powerbass in the door in stock location

New DD installed tweeter in new location

Installing 4-channel where windshield fluid res. used to be.

C3b installed to roof of trunk

Battery was already located in the trunk so it made wiring easy

Trim pannels back in and everything done

It is super loud and clear all the way throught the spectrum. Yes I know the prefab box is not the most custom thing in the world but I like the ease of removal for my weekend track days.

Thanks for looking.

Looks good, although I never liked that headunit when I had mine, but still has some nice features. That Metra kit looks pretty bad too, is the finish like shiny or something? But I LOVE how you did you guages! And where you mounted your amp is nice too, up and out of the way. Overall, lookin good

only down side is the potential of heat soak into the circuit board being upside down, and the heat sink on the bottom...heat rises. but lets hope that doesn't become the case

Great looking car, too bad that center dash piece doesn't match the dash color

Very nice install and very nice product... I too agree with some of the others with the amp mount upside down... I wouldn't recommend it but you shouldn't have too many problems if was the high amp because it wouldn't get as hot (class a/b at least)... but the sub amp (class d especially) will get hotter, quicker. Hopefully you don't have problems.

In my opinion the rear component tweeters are too close to the front driver's head and may conflict or cause too much sibilance... but to each their own...
