the OEM RF dashkit wont work there will be a gap with any aftermarket double din HU, for the cheapest best quality one go with scosche kit can be found on crutchfield or sonicelectronix for about 35.00 . For the best quality get the JDM double din dash kit (forgot where to find it but im sure someone will post a link).

Second item down. On checkout just make sure to choose double din kit rather than the one for wide navigation.

for the scosche kit , does it included those Brackets that i need to install the GPS unit?
in sonicelectronix, there is 2 kits, one is scosche kit, and one is metra kit. which one is better?
and i see metra is included bracket and scosche one doesn't. do we even need those brackets?
thanks

I have heard nothing good about the Metra kit. The Scosche is a distant second to the JDM, but the Metra doesn't even compete.

The JDM Dash kit is worth the money. I just got it installed. Looks a lot better then the other kits I have seen on most of the forums.

229!!! is killing me...
but i just e-mail them and ask about the Scosche, they said "this dash kit is primarily made for any single din or double din head unit or DVD unit, no alternate GPS unit."
any thought guys?

Honestly, with the fit and finish of the JDM kit, I would still go with the JDM even though it's more pricey. You get what you pay for and you're going to be looking at the kit everyday so you don't want some POS there that you and everyone else can see.

It isn't just the fit.. the material and finish looks like nothing else in the car. It looks real cheap.

I got th JDM kit and its great but I am having a hard time getting my head unit to line up right with it using the stock mounting bracket from the fosgate nav unit. It has a beam across the back of the bracket that holds the unit together but its getting in the way of the my pioneer sitting correctly. I saw somewhere there is a version of the brackets that does not have the rear brace. Anyone know where you can order it?
thanks
