Bluetooth disconnect beep ear piercing loud?

So I have the Rockford Fosgate system with nav. I'm pretty content with the system, wouldn't call it great but I think it's fine for now.

So with that being said, I have one major complaint about the Bluetooth hands-free system that I can't figure out. I'm hoping someone can help out on this one.

When I am talking on the hands free system, I usually have to turn it up to about 30-35 to hear the person. Usually works ok. Then when the call disconnects, there is the disconnect beep that comes out of the right speaker that really hurts my ears. My wife knows it's coming now and plugs her ears.

Is there any way to get rid of that beep or lower that beep? Or is there any way to make the caller louder without turning the volume up? Or is there any way to get the sound to come out of the left speakers?

I think any of those would help out a great deal.

Glad you asked, I have the same problem...

I did figure out why I had to have the volume up so high to hear the callers, ends up you can turn up the volume from the phone as well, so there are two adjustments. Once I maxed the bluetooth volume on my phone, I was able to turn down the headunits volume to the 20's so now the noise isn't as loud.

I swore I blew out my speaker once! I can't seem to find anywhere in the setup screens to change this.

I'll check out my phone next time and see if I can adjust it from there. I totally know what you mean by blowing out the speaker.

Drives: 2010 EVO X.....I dont need a wing!

bump!

I have 2010 GSR with SSS. When the phone connects to bluetooth, I get an ear piercing "HANDS FREE SYSTEM CONNECTED" and then the same horribly loud beep when ending a phone call.

If there is any way to turn this down I would love to hear it.

......... all I've found is turning up the bluetooth volume on the phone, then turning down the volume on the stereo. It's still not loud enough on the phone, but it helps. I have an iphone.
