To get rid of it, you'll have to have a better ground with less noise coming through it.

I'm doing the patched ezrider.exe + 2008.4 maps + 2008.10 POI's tomorrow.

Today I made some custom sound schemes (button click noises, etc), updated my XM logos, added the branded POI logos, and messed with the navigation UI/ini settings.

Can you put up some pictures of you custom setup?

I placed my mic in the same location you did. Works great A+, i would recommend this location for anyone with a bluetooth mic.

reverse and parking wires???

I'm installing an Eclipse AVN726E and hoping you can help...

I got everything except where to wire the reverse and parking brake wires. I have a MR and it has a "extra connector" for the OEM nav so I imagine I can tap into those wires if I can figure out what they are.

Any idea which wires are for parking and reverse?

The parking brake is easy to find.. it's connected right to the parking brake under the center console if you take the cupholders out. As far as reverse, I don't know. Just run a wire to the trunk and connect to the +12v reverse bulb wire.. it's white I believe.

hey, thanks for the quick response!

Yeah, I was hoping to avoid running wires anywhere so I was really hoping that parking and reverse would be on that extra plug. You would think that since this is the only extra plug that is used by the OEM nav unit, that it would have the necessary nav wires which are usually parking brake, reverse and VSS. The good news is that the Eclipse unit does not need the speed sensor wires. So I just need to figure out the reverse and parking.

thanks again

The F700 didn't need the speed sensor wires either. My old AVIC-D1 did. The AVIC-D1, because of this, was more accurate as far as nav goes than the F700. I wish the F700 had a speed sensor wire, as well as a built in compass. In tight spots, it doesn't know which direction the car is facing.

@i64X.. The F700 has a wire for VSS. I didn't hook it up though.

@jump23.. I don't have the pinout of that nav harness. I'm sure all the wires are on there.

Mine didn't. It says in the manual that the F700 doesn't require this wire and it wasn't in my harness. I've got the MITO-02 so that supplied a VSS wire and a reverse lead. Oh well, it still works. :-)
