Thanks for the follow up James.
Can you specify the part number for the cable?
Can you show iPod track / playlist information being displayed on the MMCS?
Can show control of the ipod from the steering wheel and MMCS touch screen?
Does your solution charge the ipod?

I looked into this myself, the Outlander NAV system is different from the one in the EVO. At least the part number is different. I don't know if the outland cable would work with the system in this car.

Hi guys, I'm uploading a video for you all now, edit: link below....
Basically, it's a brief demo video of the MMCS in my (Australian) Evo X. It shows the functionality of the iPod through the HU. The iPod cable was installed by the dealer, I guess it plugs into the back of the HU. The cable leads into the glovebox, which is where I keep my iPod. It's a 120gb iPod Classic. I had a 16gb Nano connected and while it would play music, it wouldn't charge. I guess the Nano isn't completely compatible with the cable/MMCS.
EDIT: Here is the video: http://www.vimeo.com/5449916

Thanks for posting the video. Do you happen to know the part number for the MMCS that is installed in your Evo?

No idea. All I know is that A-02 is printed on the bottom right corner of the unit, you can sort of see it in the video.

That NAV unit is completely different headunit then the one we have here in the United States....it's probably something that is not gonna work with our NAV unit. Which sucks but it is what it is, haha.

Thanks much for this. It looks like the integration is exactly what many of us would like but the Navi head unit is clearly different than the ones we have here in NA.

Yeah, I just checked the part number on the front plate of mine and it reads N-03.
