Sorry to bump an old thread, but I figure I'd bump this one instead of creating a new one.

I was planning on getting the compustar for my car as well. Not sure whether or not to go with the pro or not. When you got yours installed, did you have to give up a key to install it as well?

your viper's remote start, after you start, unlock car, get inside, then here is my question, do you have to turn the key knob? cuz mine wont turn, my installer told me to just let it shut off first then go in car, or just go in, press the brake and let the engine shut off, then turn the key like i regularly do to start it again.... I was like wth??? wondering if yours is the same.

does anyone know where i can get the bypass for the evo x w smart key ive tried everyone know i data link , bypasskits ,even omega they all say no good i was thinking of taking the battery out of the smart key and hooking it up like the nissans with that box with the fake battery and make it so when i arm the alarm it disables the box and when i disarm it reactivates it so i wont need the 2 remotes and hook up the status wire so the fob is active when i remote start but wanted to get feed back first any one here try this

any of you able to turn the key nob after the car was started with the remote and running? for mine I have to wait the the turn off the car (either wait for the time limit to end or press the brake to shut it off) then turn the key nob to turn on the car again to drive away... this seems odd to me.
one installer said i should be able to turn the nob whild the engine is running, 2 other (including the one who done my alarm) said thats what it is

smartstart from viper. you have to buy that module and apart from the viper/clifford or any DEI alarm system. plus you have to subscribe to it annually for it to work. not worth it.
just nice for those who have an existing dei alarm and iphone.
