You guys most likely can buy the part and hook it up to your nav. I plan to do this when I have a chance. Also, you can watch external video on your NAV, but while driving is up in the air as I don't know if the DVD hack also took care of it. From what I have read, it has not.

Unstoked.

What a bummer. I didn't know the AUX-in-motion was a problem until recently. I read through the DVD hack thread and got all excited. I was really hoping to run the Camp2 through the OEM Navi--mostly to avoid having gauges on display everywhere.

It's too bad I can't wait until things get worked out; I've heard a lot of good things about the OEM Navi.

I have the navi but no rockford fosgate system and no imput auxiliary. Is there a thread that shows you how to add the factory auxiliary imputs?

I went to a car stereo place and they said that they can install a part ($300 installed) that will give you both aux in motion and dvd in motion. Anyone have anymore info on that part?

I'm kindof okay with $300 for the part and $700 for the guages. I'm trying to keep the car as stock looking as possible, so its worth it for me.

If you dont mind cutting/splicing wires, I am pretty sure you can put a switch inline with the GPS navigation signal. If you switch it off, the car doesn't know its moving and the AUX will continue to work. However, you obviously cannot use the Nav with the switch off. Search for it and you might find it. This was the original DVD in motion fix before the hack. Also, the DVD in motion hack does not support AUX in motion.

This is my project that I'm working on....

You do have to splice some wires, have a tactrix cable and a computer with EvoScan on it. All less than $1k ($300 part + $700 for the hks part).

there is a way to use the stock screen with a carputer, just got to some centrafuse forums, but its probably not worth the trouble just though i'd throw it out there

I'm using the stock screen through the composite input (really the backup camera input).

I'm in the same boat. I have laptops setting around that I could use, but no aux video in motion. But if you would shoot me some links. I work in the computer field so I have a few lol.

So does that mean it only works when in reverse? Got a link to any write ups on how to do it.

Pretty positive that they found this doesn't work on some other forum. Can anyone confirm on the evo x?

I wired in a switch to make the nav think it's in reverse... so it's whenever I want.

The backup camera pinout is out there (look for outlander sites). The backup signal is pretty easy to find if you have a multimeter. It's on the top left connector on the back of the MMCS on a purple and yellow wire if I remember right.

THATS AWSOME. So I guess I gotta start looking around for either the stuff to make gauges on a carputer or start looking for one of the 2 gauge sets that are pre-done.

Thanks.
