No worrys, I didn't think you were being an ass.
If I'm wrong about something I want to know. I tend to way over explain stuff and for once tried to dumb it down but it back fired. Ya it sounds like we are saying the same thing.

an aftermarket amp will work as long as it as high level inputs (25 watts by 4) type. just like any other factory head unit.

Guess you didnt do much research then. That harness will not work on the lancer. It was for the eclipses.

The MITO-02 when it comes out will work for the lancer.

hopefully you can return your Mito-01 if you have a lancer because its goign to be useless

Ok. Yeah 02 will work but I don't think you will see it for a long time though. It's been in this state for about 8 months now and no one at metra has clue if they are even close to releasing it. I perso ally don't think it is going to be out for a long while if at all because if the complexity of the new can bus system and the fact that mitsubishi is changing the can bus again in the 2010 model year cars

That really blows, so theres no other harness out yet? meaning the only way to use the factory amp is the way in this post?

Corect. Scosche is not making on period. Metra would be the only option but like I said I don't see it happening. This is the only way tto do it with the stock fosgate system right now. Itbis easy and doesn't take long at all. It wife loves her setup now
