SSP Upgraded Clutch Pack | EVO X | GROUP BUY!
+
July 30, 2009 – South Side Performance is offering yet another first for the EVO SST, our SSP Pro Series Clutch Packs for the TC-SST Dual Clutch Transmission. This component is another in a line of SSP products that strengthens and supports high horsepower EVO X SST’s.
In months of testing SST’s running very aggressive power combinations, SSP has tirelessly worked to create a wide array of components for the TC-SST transmission in order to increase its ability to support high horsepower applications. SSP has experience with high horsepower AWD cars and knows that clutch packs are going to be a point of weakness once certain power levels are exceeded. So, instead of responding to failures after they happen, SSP has designed a solution to prevent clutch failures from happening in the first place.
Specifications:
SSP is offering its Pro Series Clutch Disc which has 30-40% more gripping force over the stock clutch discs, due to an increased surface area. The disc itself is a complex compound of cotton, carbon fiber, synthetic organic fibers, and other materials. In fact, these new clutch discs are made out of the same material we use in our GTR 700whp clutch discs. These new materials add to the strength of the discs while still retaining the properties that allow it to hold up in the submerged oil environment of the TC-SST’s valve body. This particular compound has been tested to hold 420-475 crank horse power and 410 foot pounds of torque at 200F. At these power levels the transmission’s fluid temperature will determine the amount of clamping force the clutch discs are able to exert. To maintain this power level, the SST’s transmission will need to entertain an additional cooling source. The SST’s factory transmission cooler is inadequate to handle the additional heat the engine and transmission will make at these power levels.

PRICING!
Normally you guys would be looking at 1199.99 for the clutch packs and 99.00 for the new steel disk.
Well, here we are AGAIN to save the day. Get the upgraded clutch packs AND the steels for $1050.00!

I'm definitely considering this... i only have 500 miles on my MR so far, so it's a little early. Do these clutch packs come with detailed instructions for install?
