varrstoen es221 + evo 9 brembos

Hi everyone i want to purchase a set of varrstoen es221 at the 18 x 9.5 +22 size

Does anyone on here run this size?
Want confirmation if these would clear the brembos or do you need spacers?

I've searched and searched and i havent found my answer

Can anybody help me out?

they look like te37's, i'm sure they will clear the front brembos with ease. especially with a +22 offset.

That's what I thought, but I did some searching and this guy says you need spacers to clear
http://www.lancerregister.com/showthread.php?t=414431

But over here on this eBay listing it says it clears evo7-10 factory brembos
http://www.ebay.com/itm/18X9-5-VARRS...ht_8173wt_1004

That's all I could find on about this rim in this size for ct9a
So just wondering if anyone has some confirmed info about it

the +12 offset will clear front brembos, the +22 will not.

I'm running a set of cheap rotas on my evo 8 right now, 18x9.5 with a +22 offset and i have no problems clearing the brakes. I thought the 18x9.5 +22 was a common size for the evo, or does it depend on the manufacture of the rim?

Cheers!

Depends on the style of the wheel.

So will the varrstoen es221's fit over the brembos on the evo 8/9? I was looking at getting a set over the winter.

Cheers!

they come in +22, 15, 12. any one of those offsets will fit without any spacers.

save up a bit more and get some used real TE37s. You won't have to worry about cracking or bending them

boostedGS and Hamtaro

^^^ total bs... where? a few hundred more, show me and i'll buy it right now. same specs
the varrstoen's are about 1g.. ya'll need to stop posting bs information.

dont you think if your statement were true that everyone would be rocking te37's??

Hamtaro- the link the other guy posts SHOWS you need a spacer for some of those offsets. where did you get the info that none need spacers?
apparently you dont understand that wheel spoke design affects the clearance. no one offset works for all wheels.

You'll have to show me where i can get a set of TE37s for around 1500$, cause where i'm from if your lucky enough to find a used set with the right offset and width, your gonna be paying over 2000$ for a set that aren't rashed and chipped.

Unless he's referring to a couple hundred more per rim. I have yet to be lucky enough to find someone locally with the correct offset and width, that are in near mint condition.
