Here's what bothers me about all this: The initial claim came from JDMChicago and urged folks not to buy "FAKE" wheels. The wheel, itself, must be the only object of its type to spontaneously explode, as every other wheel in the universe showing similar damage suffered from an impact and on and on. Hell, just look at the fresh curb rash on the rim. However, we should forget our brains at home and follow some showcar-driven mantra that tries to place a political position on one's choice of wheels. It's beyond ridiculous. So far this morning, I've seen this same thread on 5 (FIVE!) other car forums and I'm willing to be that it's just a drop in the bucket. All this to what end? To misinform, to delude, to obfuscate, to further an alternate motive ... 'cause this sure ain't about wheels.

If you look at the pics there is no way that wheel just came apart. Look at the amount of dirt in the lug holes alone. How does that happen on the street. That wheel looks like it too huge impact.

My 240 came with XXR 962's when i bought the car. I never had a problem with them, then again, my car was always broken so i never got to drive. I have since then got some Works on it, and it only breaks down every now and then lol. Never had a problem with any wheel that wasn't my fault.
