I know in previous posts there have been comments on rolling fenders with this offset, but is this only required with lowered cars or is it still true at stock height?

Thanks,

I've been lurking on the forum for a while but finally made an account haha. I'm new to the whole aftermarket wheel game as well. What would be the best offset to run for a 18 x 9.5 wheel given these offeset options.. 12, 22, or 30?

Welcome aboard.

12, out of the question. 22, doable but very difficult to fit correctly & dependent on tire size. 30, much better offset but dependent on tire choice you are likely going to need rear fender work. 35, depending on tire size possible no rear fender work

Is this a 1/4 mile wheel? Very unlikely a +43 offset would clear

The would likely fit well & look good. I would comb through this forum as I bet there have been a few to try this

My friends gave me a set of wheels STR Gold its 17x9 offset is 20 , it fits good on the back but touches the caliper on the front. I wish they could fit as I have a wicked look I'm going for. Do you think if i use 20mm or 25 mm spacers it would fit, will the tire come out extra wide. I want a stretch tire look but not a very low profile i think stock evo tires are 235-45-17 so I'm thinking about getting 235-40-17 because i want the same height as stock (because i don't want to lower the car that low) but a bit narrower tyre (so it stretches).

The overall diameter & width are right on the money. Its the +20 that is well outside what is considered doable. Especially noting that the wheel will not fit over the front Brembo. Imagine adding a +25 spacer to a +20 wheel (-5) (absolutely out of the question IMO)

If it were me, I would pass on this & move to a wheel where you can run a proper width tire, proper lowering spring, camber, etc

The only way is to run a front spacer of course. Every wheel spoke & hub design is different so there is no spacer recipe to follow. The area in question is known in the wheel world as the "X" factor (distance from the hub mounting surface to the back of
the wheel spokes. This cavity allows for brake caliper clearance)

I would mount the wheel & with a steel ruler attempt to determine how much spacer may be needed. If you need anything more than 20mm or so I would pass on that wheel

I am running a 18x10.5 work Kai emotion +15 with 285/35 tire. Body shop after installing my voltex front and rear saying they can't even get it off the lift without the wheels rubbing. That they would have to cut most of the rocker panel out on the front. Any help on why these can't fit? Running twin flex coil overs. Pretty sure I thought this was a standard setup for wide body kit evos.
