I just picked up a set of Option Lab S401 18x9.5 +22 w/ 255/35/18 tires. What am I going to need to do to get these to fit on my ix? My wheels are the same offset as Ryan's above but I swear they stick out more on the back.

Also, I should know the answer to this but how much camber can I get with the stock suspension? I'm on tanabe springs if that matters.

Its unlikely that Ryans setup is truly clearanced. His ride height in the rear is very high & I suspect rub is likely on a hard compression bump

+22 most always needs a rear roll & a bit of a fender pull. You may not need the rear bumper bolt due to the 35 series tire.

Not sure about the rear camber max on stock susp. My opinions are based on running stock camber. Never adding camber to achieve clearance

Ride height: With the wheel/tire setup it gained a little height. With only the mild drop of Spec-R springs it was anticipated that ground clearance would increase. I'm perfectly happy with that as I don't go for the slammed look or "fun" of driving around a major city without ground clearance.

There has been a little bit of rear rub so far. Interestingly it seems to be only in the passenger side rear. I would estimate that the current roll and pull is good for only about 1 cm of pull beyond factory spec.

As of yet there does not seem to be any rubber accumulation on the bumper bolt so I am still in the determination stage of where the rub is. I use a grease pen to mark the inside of the fender and bolt to see where the rub is taking place but it has proven to be elusive in the few days of driving.

Finally Installed

Hey guys. Finally able to give an update.

Wheels - Advan RG-D Matte Black 18 x 9 +35 with Nitto NT-05 255/35/18 Tires no additional camber

Purchased hubcentric rings (aluminum) to go from 73.1 to 67.1(i believe - shooting from memory as a write).

Rear center caps fit fine - front center caps need to be the bigger version not the smalls like what fit the rear (or all four deep all the way around)

No spacers - no fender rolling at all. Stock ride height currently. Clears all suspension full lock and on bumps so far.

Tons of brake clearance (much more than the stock enkei's

Honestly, I'm very happy with fitment etc. Well worth the couple month wait to get everything on but it fits without issues and shouldn't have any headaches moving forward.

Will update again once I do Bilstein MR suspension with Swift springs hopefully sooner rather than later.

Let me know if anyone has any questions.Name: evonewwheels.jpg

^^^Well done. The RG series is such a great wheel for the EVO. I run the RGII & the fitment is spot on

As you know the suspension ride height needs some serious tuning

Ran the no.s on the calc. Due to the +25 offset & the wide 265 tire the rear fender will need the full rear fender treatment to fit correctly (roll, fender pull & bumper bolt relocate). Very doable if the proper work is done!
Note: Opinion based on running stockish rear camber & zero rub fit

Ran the no.s on the calc. Due to the +25 offset & the 255 or 245 tire the rear fender will need an aggressive rear fender roll. The 255 makes the flat roll needed even more
Anything wider & this set-up may need further rear fender treatment
Note: Opinion based on running stockish rear camber & zero rub fit

If this is a 1/4 mile wheel, post up your question here:

The Brand is Drag.

No they're not 1/4 mile wheels

Well, I just learned something. I searched them

Unlikely anyone here has experience w/this brand. My good guess is that it is unlikely they will fit over the front Brembos w/out spacers

The overall size of 17x9 +35 is very EVO friendly & unlikely you will need rear fender work running a 255/40 tire

Ok sweet thanks! The tires on them are 215/40. so they're a bit of stretched

and Yeah, I was assuming I needed spacers, cause currently I have 15mm on the 18x8.75 XXR 527's 30 offset.
