I'm thinking about this same setup(18 x 9.5 +20) on my ix. i'm on swift spec-r/mr bilsteins and debating whether to get 245/40 or 255/40s. is this pushing it? what camber do I need to run after i get these on?

Ran your no.s through the calc

+20 is one of the most extreme offsets that is doable providing the proper rear fender treatment is done (roll, pull & bumper bolt)

IMO, the 255 is not that much more difficult to fit than the 245

I dont recommend running out of spec camber to fit the W/T pkg, so this opinion is based on stockish camber

Varrstoen es2's 17x9 +22 or +30.

Figured the +22 probably need ~10mm spacer in the fronts, +30 probably needs a 15mm spacer? anyone run these know what it takes to clear the brembos?

So I've already determined that my Advan RG-D in 18 x 9 +35 will clear calipers. Curious on recommendations for tires on an 03 evo 8. No fender roll or anything yet. 255/265? What would be needed? Also the beefer the tire the better. Have considered 255/265, 35/40 , 18 but curious on feedback. I have no intention of "slamming my car" by any means. A mild drop at most an inch or so when coilovers go on the car. Currently on factory suspension.

Thanks for the feedback in advance

I got the 18x9 +35 265/35/18 I needed spacers in the front because my tire would rub on my spring for my coilovers. The rear is rolled, with the failed attempt at a pull(previous) owner.
Camber specs : -2.8 in the front -1.5 in the rear.

How big of a spacer in front? How much roll in the rear? Aggressive? Bolt relo?

The +35 really helps the tire choice. Of course the no-brainer go-to would be the 255/35 which would fit well w/out a fender roll

Going bold would be the 255/40 or 265/40 which will likely need a roll. Because of the large circumference a rear bumper bolt re-locate may be needed as well

Stock rear camber setting !!

It's a 10mm spacer. The rear is a flat roll. And no bolt relocate.. It might need it, but I've haven't seen much damage....come to think of it, I've seen no damage. I run semi stiff. What's helping is the camber really....

I'm hoping I wont have to run the spacer but looking to get fenders rolled in the rear this weekend. I'll post up some pics once everything gets installed. I couldn't find ANYONE running the same wheels so I guess i'm shooting in the dark.

Were you running the fender mod in the front? 285's are ridiculous
