Emergency Brake warning switch.

Anybody have an issue with the Emergency Brake warning light on when the E-Brake is not engaged?

It's intermittent... sometimes on, sometimes off. I haven't checked it out yet. Alldata didn't have any repair infomation on it for location (I imagine it's just below the E-Brake mechanism). Didn't find any TSB's on it either. So just looking to get any insight from anybody here if they've had a similar issues.

Thanks!

Check the e-brake. Might be the switch is too close and bumps or vibration is engaging the circuit.

That or you could be low on brake fluid. This will also trigger your brake light on the dash. and generally if the brake fluid is getting low you need new pads as its a closed system and the fluid should never go anywhere. So more fluid is used to push the pistons out further and it gets lower in the master cyl. Triggering the light
