dont waste your money on the rs3 the model it replaced was not that great of a tire and neither are they. if you want a tire that looks sticky but really is not then they are a good choice and you will get great milage out of them but at this sec i am on star specs and i dont plan on going back great tire for the price and sticky as **** gets my vote everytime

NT01 is an awesomr r-comp. But it does not qualify as a street tire for Time Attacks. Usually the cutoff is 140 treadwear.

you could also try the new advan ad08 or the bridgestone re-11. here is a new review from tirerack which could help you decide. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...y.jsp?ttid=118

I take everything with a grain of salt on here, but the bottom line is that you can't really go wrong with any of those tires.

I actually think the secondary ride (small, high frequency bumps?) is better with the NT05s over my Dunlop M3 winter tires, which are soft and squishy. Might be due to the width though. I really only do have about 30 miles on them so I can't be sure on too much, but initial impressions are positive.
dont you need around 150-200 miles to break-in the tires

I've gone through a set of 255/40 star specs, and AD08s... and for the money, the star specs will be my next choice, again.

NT05...so far the grippiest tire I have ever driven on coming from Advans and RE01Rs. Only tire I might get instead would be the AD08's but they are almost twice as much.

My choice at the moment is either NT-05's or Star Specs. The NT-05's are about $200 cheaper, but Im worried about the wet characteristics. I corded an RE-01R due to a spring perch coming loose recently, and need to pick up a new set of tires. I loved the RE's, and it sucks because mine are still at 50% life but cant get a shaved replacement

If I had the money, I would go AD-08, then RE-11, then Star Specs, then NT-05's. Thats if cash wasnt an object. Those 4 are really the only contenders as far as Im concerned, but I havent seen much on the new kooks or kumhos.

Hands down star specs. Best tire I have ever ran on a track. It's a 200 treadwear rating, but I beg to differ, I think they are about 140 in real life.. RT615's stay away, 2 laps to heat, 1 perfect temp lap, then they get really greasy and a little scary in mid engine cars...
