Coilovers installed, the car rides amazing now.
After having a bunch of parts sitting around, I finally had the time to install them.
Ohlins Flags coilovers, swapped the spring s around. 10k in the front, 12k in the back.
Whiteline roll center kit.
Whiteline bump steer bushing.
Whiteline trailing arm bushing.
Perrin positive steering response.
Alignment and corner balancing by Robi.
Girodisc 2-piece front rotors/DBA 4000 in the back, with DS2500/street and Pagids RS29/track days.
Already had Perrin RSB and a modified front sway bar, with homemade end links.
I thought the ride would be harsh and bouncy, but with the coilovers set a couple of clicks from full soft, the car rides a tad better than stock. No more swaying, pushing or shoving, just point and shoot. The car goes where you want it to with ease and very little effort. The best way to describe it is “Neutral” and very predictable, even in the rain.

Wow I too would have thought those spring rates would be awful on the street! I guess the valving is perfect on the Ohlins ....Congrats!

18bora, I was watching some of your vids, nice driving especially that viper one, you kept right up with him. I've been to a few of the same tracks so I'm sure we'll run into each other at some point.
what settings are you running around with on the street for your coils (compression & rebound) that make it a tad better then stock? Right now I've got mine set pretty stiff from this past weekends autox and they performed very well.
Also, how much camber are you running up front and what kind of wheels/tires are you using?
I've got OEM BBS MR rims w/255/40 Z1 star spec rubber and I needed to install 4mm spacers to keep the tire from rubbing the spring under even a little compression with ~3* camber. Wondering if you're having the same problem.

The ohlins flag's really suck for tire clearance, even with a shorter main spring in front. It's due to the spring being lower because of the external reservoir up top. Usually you can run a shorter main and avoid the tire, but not with these. Mine are very tight clearance wise with a 17x9 +35 and a 235-45-17 tire.
FYI, tire and spring clearance don't change WRT to damper position. The spring is and always will be right next to the wheel.

what does WRT mean??
when I first installed the coils I had the camber bolt arrow facing inwards for -1* camber and nothing seemed to rub. The camber plates were set at max camber, all the way inward.
I got home and researched alignment settings and what not and discovered that I had installed the camber bolt backwards, so I switched it towards the outside of the car to give it -2* camber. thats when the rubbing started.
even if you move the camber plates to the outside for less camber it doesn't change the relation of the spring to the wheel. The only way to resolve the rubbing issue was putting on a 4mm spacer. even with the spacer its still rubbing slightly under "heavy" compression, so I have 15mm spacers I'll be installing and I'll put the 4mm's in the rear. hopefully that should do the trick and help with turn in!

I always run into an evo or 2 at the track, thunderbolt is only a little over an hour away from my house. In most of the vids I was on stock suspension and stock alignment. The last 2, I only had the rear sway bar. The current setup, I’m running 2.5* up front and 1.4* in the back with 0 toe all around. As for tires, I’m running RE-01’s 245/40/17 without a problem. However, my car is not that low, It’s about 1-1.5” lower than stock. I have a set of 245/45/17 NT-01’s mounted on 17x8.5 SSR wheels. I will check the clearance when I get a chance.

you might be fine with 2.5* of camber in the front and those 245/40 RE01-R's.
Have you done any hard cornering yet to see if its rubbing under compression. One last question, are your camber plates pushed all the way inward, towards the engine or do you still have room to move them?
