I have ran both, and currently am on the NT-05s (255/40/17). The NT-05's look to be a bit wider in my pictures below.

Pictures:

Pics of 255/40/17's on my stock VIII wheels if it helps:

They're a bit wide on a stock wheel as you can see, but they do certainly work! And yes you will be fine with your springs. I'm lower than works springs.

I'm about to buy a set of the Nitto NT-05 255/40/17 for the stock bbs. What tire pressure are you running on the street? Last year i ran the Rt-615's so that is great news that you like the nitto's better. For $149 a tire and 200 tread rating with free shipping from discounttire.com these are a great buy.

Just a question... How big is the difference between the A032R and the NT05 in cornering grip?

I will tell you in a couple weeks. I bought the A032R'S used recently, and never have driven on them yet. I have an autox here on May 2nd and 3rd. I was thinking about using the NT05's on one day, and then the A032R's the next to get a good comparison. The Hankooks are for when the A032R's are corded out...

To the other guy asking the question about PSI. I haven't really played around alot yet, but I've been leaving it around 37-38psi cold for daily driving so far. I still think these tires "feel" better than the star specs that I previously had. Again though, I haven't pushed these tires hard yet, just street driving.

NT05's run a tad bit wide. They are very similiar to the Z1's. Tad wider than the RE01R I currently have on. NT05's are nice tires, selling out everywhere. I happen to have a brand new set for sale though
