Bad brakes, ABS, or pads not bedded in correctly?

Ok I installed my brake pads a little over 5 months ago. I never did the 4 hard stops that it says to do. I know your supposed to but I just never had time to do it when I installed them and eventually never got around to it. I have hawk hp+ pads.

I never brake hard, I always brake super smooth. Well anyways today I was going to try to find the braking threshold to practice for the track events coming up in my town. So I was driving and firmly pressed on the brake but not rapidly and when I got the pedal down to the floor, the car seemed like the tires were hopping and skipping and it felt horrible. It felt like it to took a good while to stop and the whole time the car felt really funny during braking. Its kind of hard to describe.

It felt to me like the brake pads were not gripping on the rotor correctly. Im not sure what the cause of this is. Im not sure what brand my rotors are but they are slotted discs.

So is this just the ABS kicking in and that is the way it feels? Or did I not bed the brake pads in properly? Or is there another problem going on here?

Pull the ABS fuse and try again.
